The College of Business and Information Technology (CBIT) provides innovative, industry-relevantÌýhigher education that prepares learners to be competent, responsible and ethical practitioners.
Select IT programs align with select industry certification exams being offered by leading organizations, such as CompTIA and the International Council of E-commerce Consultants (EC-Council). Our programs were recognized by EC-Council from 2019 to 2025 for contributions to education in secure computing, network defense, ethical hacking and CISO-level leadership.

Recognizing the role and value that practitioner-scholars bring to the classroom, we encourage a culture of research, scholarship and professional currency among our faculty. We implemented a faculty scholarship model based on Boyer’s model that recognizes scholarship across four domains: discovery, application, integration, and teaching and learning.
